Know a local school with an impactful initiative that could benefit from a monetary donation? Or perhaps you’re a teacher or administrator that has a vision of an initiative but just lack start-up funds? We’d love for you to nominate your school!
Until October 23, The Cares Alliance will be taking nominations for current or new initiatives at local schools that could benefit from a monetary donation. Our Board of Directors will select three to five finalists after considering how the school initiative aligns with our mission, strengthens the community, and benefits students, teachers, or staff. Every finalist will receive a portion of $7,600 based on the final ranking as determined by the community votes. The community voting period starting November 1. Checks will be awarded in December.
Examples/Ideas for School Initiatives: book drive for school library, enhancing computer lab, creating a community garden, creating a mentor program, growing a tutoring program, staff appreciation, new lab equipment, purchasing theatre props, more art supplies, additional wheelchair ramps, etc.
